K’Taka: Families ridden by debt from 6 years of life in Yadgir Dist

Yadigir: Cannot pay a loan taken from a private bank and lender, a 45-year-old farmer died of suicide along with his wife and four of their children by jumping into agricultural land in the Yadigir District of Dorantahalli on Monday.
The deceased is Bheeemaraya Surpur, wife of Shanthamma, 38, and children Sumitra, 12, Shivaraj, 9, Shridevi, 6, and Lakshmi, 4.
Bheeemaraya has planned to grow commercial crops by taking loans from banks and private institutions.
He got digged well on his land and reaped a watermelon harvest, but he could not transport him because of the lumbers last year.
With the financial crisis it becomes more acute during the day, he cannot serve the flower component too, said a family member.
