Bengaluru: The state government has banned civil servants from issuing a press statement and approaching the court on the government’s decision without the permission of the authorities concerned.
Head of Secretary P Ravi Kumar issued an order in this case on Saturday.
The order came two days after the JD HD Kumaraswamy leader and former Minister of SA RA Mahesh urged the government to control the bureaucrats who talked against legislators and fellow officers.
Keep in mind that Mahesh and then Mysuru DC Rohini Sindhuri locked the horn in public above the pool built on DC’s residence.
Both have published statements with each other in the media.
“Officers must talk to the media only related to their respective departmental programs and it is also absolutely necessary,” said the command.
The order also prohibits officials from the use of their personal social media to tell people about their department program.
