K’Taka: Fresh Covid Case Down to Pre-April Level

Bengaluru: Because the cases of fresh covid as a whole in Karnataka continued to cover and increased vaccination coverage, the focus of the state government in the past two weeks has shifted to a pediatric population with special screenings in all districts.
The Daily Health Bulletin analysis of the Ministry of Health showed a monthly case which was dipped below 50,000 in August for the first time since March and the average daily case has returned to the pre-April level.
Karnataka did more than 1.5L test per day in Augustkarnataka reported 44,321 cases in August compared with 61,314 in July, almost 2.4 lakh in June, more than 10 lakh in May and about 5.2 lakh cases in the month April.
The average daily case in August was 1,429, which was around 28% lower than 1,978 seen in July.
Only on August 30 did everyday case fell below 1,000 for the first time in five months.
While the daily average in August has returned to the pre-April level, it has not yet reached the low seen in December 2020 and January-February this year.
The state carried out more than 48.2 lakh tests – at a test level of more than 1.5 lakh per day – in August, about 10% more than July.
The government has now begun to test them in the age group of 0-19 years more consistent because it has not been borne by the vaccine.

KV Trilok Chandra Health Commissioner said: “On August 30, more than 2.5 lakh children (0-19 years) have been screened for Covid-19 and we hope to discuss estimates of 1.5 crore (in this group) in two Next month.
” Screening was being carried out under the ‘Arogya Nandana’ scheme which was launched in mid-August.
This scheme will also look for markers that show nutritional levels in children and aim to increase immunity.
While children with Ili / Sari and symptoms such as other covids will soon be identified, Chandra said the Ministry of Health will prepare a report that can be followed up based on supervision findings.
Before the launch of Arogya Nandana, TOI was the first to report that the state would dedicate at least 10% of Covid-19 testing for people in the age group 0-19.light, Commissioner of the Head of the BBMP GUAV Gupta has emphasized the need for Covid-19 surveillance between the population pediatric.
In line with this, the Civic City body has instructed the medical hospital and institute that all cases of Pediatric Ili, Sari and Covid-19 must be reported immediately on the KPME portal.
Given that upward 70% of adults have received at least one dose of vaccines, BBMP instructions to hospitals read: “At least 10% of the case of pediatric (non-ILI, sari) cases referred to your institution / hospital must be subject to covid testing 19 for the right supervision among pediatric populations.
