K’taka girl missed the test opportunity for fees; Min reaches out

Bengaluru: Greeshma Nayak N, the daughter of a Tumakuru farmer, scored 96 percent in grade 9, but lost the ticket to school because it did not pay fees.
As a result, he did not get a ticket for the upcoming SSLC exam, which made him destroyed.
On Saturday, the Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar visited the family home and convinced him that he would not lose all year.
Even though he won’t be able to write letters on July 19 and 22, he will get the opportunity in an additional test in August.
Development participated in a series of appeals made by Greeshma to save his academic year.
Greeshma and her family lived in Hanumanthapura, Tumakuru District.
He was registered with a residential school in Dakshina Kannada.
After he completed the 9th grade, the school was reported demanding the cost of Rs 1 Lakh for the next class.
“We suffer losses during covid locking and cannot pay the full amount.
I am not treated in a new class.
My family promised to pay later, but my name never managed to get to the list,” he said.
His father, Narasimha Murthy, said that despite financial difficulties, he paid Rs 35,000.
“But the school says that it will acknowledge my daughter to class 10 only after full payment.
We don’t want to waite; we only want more time,” he said.
He added: “My daughter knocked all the doors for help, wrote to various government departments and educational officials in Tumakuaru and Dakshina Kannada.
Officials refused to intervene, said it was a problem between school and parents.
This is what happens to people who don’t have Money.
“Want to appear for the SSLC exam, Greeshma wrote an email to Kumar, who visited his house on Saturday.
“He was very upset about everything, but the minister assured him to help him get a campus seat if he cleaned the exam in August,” Murthy said.
Greeshma, who has won prizes in the debate and competition of essay writing, said that he wanted to be a doctor and save his life.
Kumar said that around 18,000 students in the country face problems related to the exam.
Two students in the Bagalkot district did not get a hall ticket despite registering.
“We know that students are not submitted.
I have directed officials to ensure that these students have the opportunity to appear for the exam,” he said.
