K’taka HC raps Belagavi Leading cop for BJP rally Offenses

BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court Tuesday chose the Belagavi City police commissioner to work because of his failure to enroll even one FIR in connection with a massive BJP rally held at town on January 17 in which Covid-19 protocols, such as wearing of masksthat were flouted. Union home minister Amit Shah had attended the rally held at the run-up into the Lok Sabha byelections into Belagavi constituency. After moving through the affidavit filed by Belagavi authorities commissioner K Thyagarajan, a division chair led by chief oversight Abhay Shreeniwas Oka noticed that the officer is totally ignorant and oblivious of the terms of Epidemic Diseases Amendment Act. The court has led him to file an original affidavit. The bench said that the commissioner acted softly and, relying upon a few photos, recovered Rs 20,900 as punishment and seemed to be happy with this. It had been acting on a request filed by National Human Rights Protection and Corruption Crime Control Commission Trust, Belagavi. It stated Jana Sevak Samavesh rally in the district arena on January 17 was likewise attended by chief ministry BS Yediyurappa, amongst others, along with 1.5 lakh individuals.
