K’taka launched the drive to eradicate tuberculosis

Bengaluru: The health and family of the welfare department urged more than 28 lakh people in Karnataka who had recovered from Covid-19 to undergo voluntary tests to get rid of tuberculosis infection.
The State Government is conducting special TB test drives in Karnataka from August 16 to August 31 to talk to reporters on Tuesday after starting ‘TB active driving surveillance’, Minister of Health K Sudhakar TB Said Detected in some people who have recovered from Covid and the State has launched the program Surveillance to allow treatment for early intervention.

About 3.9% was found infected.
However, the TB test has diminished during pandemic, said Sudhakar.
The central government has set a deadline of 2025 to clean the country from TB.
Active surveillance for this disease will also be taken in slums where the weak part of the economy of life, he said.
In addition, the State Government has decided to filter around 1.5 child crore in the age group 0-18 years because there are fears that the third wave is likely to infection Covid-19 will affect the most group.
Children currently do not qualify to take Covid-19 vaccines.
Sudhakar said the head of the Minister will also launch the ‘Arogya Nandana’, the drive where children with low immunity and other comorbidities will be identified and they will be given with nutritious foods and supplements to increase immunity.
All precautions will be taken to monitor their health, said Sudhakar.
K’Taka to look for more doses of state government will look for additional vaccine supplies from the central government, said Sudhakar.
“We have set ambitious targets to fully inject the entire population of adults who qualify in the state in December.
I will soon visit Delhi to find additional supplies of vaccines for our country, “he said.
While 25% of the doses allocated to Karnataka are intended for the private sector, private hospitals do not use even 50% of these doses.
The government discusses with company companies to explore the possibility of a company procurement of doses under CSR and provide state governments.
“This will significantly accelerate drive vaccination,” he said.
Speaking of sad deaths from couples from Mangalaru who committed suicide for fear of Covid-19 complications, the Minister of Health said people must not panic if they were infected.
