K’Taka: order sc adjust the stage to fill 4,950 pg chairs

Bengaluru: The Supreme Court approval for NEET-PG counseling has come as aid for the Second Postgraduate Aspirants and Medical Bachelor Programs.
“There will be no delay in counseling from our end.
Once the Directorate General of Health Services has finished the first round of counseling, we will start us.
The event calendar must come from them.
We are waiting.
The chair matrix will be ready in a few days, “said PG Girish, Director of Medical Education.
There are around 4,950 pg seats available for counseling.
Of these, 2,687 government quota seats in government and private medical colleges.
“We are really happy.
Covid-19 cases are increasing day by day and we need more hands in the hospital.
We ask the government for complete counseling as soon as possible.
One batch will go for the exam in a few months.
It will be very helpful if other batches join and help us.
And it was a big help for neet aspirants too because they had been waiting for two years now, “said Tejas J, the president was charged, Karnataka Resident Doctor Association.
However, neet-ug students will have to wait for some time.
According to the source at the Directorate of Medical Education, counseling for NEET-UG is possible only after that for NEET-PG.
While counseling for PG students is possible to take two months, UG counseling may expect around February-end or March.
The chair was still being added as the government had appealed for two medical colleges which was initially not approved.
Two private colleges were also added to the chair pool.
Students write NEET-UG in September and the results came out in November.
During the past four months, they have been waiting for counseling to start.
Many tried to catch up on everything they missed in the last two years when they focused on the entrance to the coaching.
“I help my mother in giving contributions to her students.
He has around 25 students in class 6-12.
I joined him in explaining lessons and correcting notes.
Apart from this, I have started reading some MBBS books, “said Jashan Chabbra from Mangaluru (all-Indians rank 5).
Meghan K from MySuru, also ranked fifth, he said he was in contact with seniors at AIIMS where he hoped to get a seat.
“We have never had such a long vacation, so we don’t know how to manage it! I party watching, playing cricket, reading fiction, but I don’t know what to do for the rest of the day, “he said.
For many others, it has become an opportunity to catch up on their passion and learn new things.
“I joined the keyboard class online.
I play some sports.
I don’t know when we will get like a long break again.
But now that it’s 2022, I have decided to return to reading, “said Sonit Sai Reddy, another student.
