K’taka pvt hosps’ Entire Body to Purchase 6m doses in Manufacturers

BENGALURU: With personal associations confronting a Covid-19 vaccine distribution stem, their umbrella business AHPI has chosen to secure 6 million doses straight from the producers.

The Association of Healthcare Providers in India (AHPI) has hunted for two million doses all Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik, stated Dr Hema Divakar, among the conveners of AHPI Accreditation committee.

The AHPI will buy 6 million doses each month to 630 hospitals throughout the nation, with a goal of every hospital supplying 100 doses each day, for 25 days per month.

We’ve prepared a listing and discussed it with the 3 vaccine manufacturers,” explained Dr Alexander Thomas, president, AHPI.
“Additionally, we’re attempting to guarantee that10percent of the vaccination price is reimbursed to the hospital during voluntary contributions.
This is to support individuals from BPL households to get free vaccination from our hospital,” said Dr Thomas.
Many smaller private associations in Bengaluru, for example members of the National and Nursing homes Association (PHANA) at Karnataka, have not got any reaction on vaccine distribution from producers.
These associations are now optimistic they can secure the dosages with the support of AHPI.
