K’Taka Rains: Schools in several dysts are closed today

Bengaluru: Some districts, including Bengaluru Urban, have stated holidays for school on Friday due to continuous rain in all states.
Some of them like Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Bengalore Rural and Kolar have stated holiday on Saturdays too.
The commissioner of public instruction issued an order that asked the deputy commissioner of each district to decide on school functions on Friday given a non-stop shower.
“Decisions must be taken at the local level depending on the weather to ensure student security.
Deputy Commissioner must make the necessary decisions after reviewing the situation,” Vishal R, Commissioner said.
If the holidays are announced, the same thing must be compensated later, read circular.
Manjunath J, DC from Bengaluru Urban, confirmed that all schools throughout the city will still be closed on Friday.
“Children will experience difficulties on their way to school, because we have made the decision to close them for a day.
Then we will decide what to do in the coming days,” said Manjunath Toi.
DCS in Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Bengaluru Rural and Kolar have announced holidays for Friday and Saturday in accordance with the provisions of the disaster management law.
KM Jayarama Reddy, DDPI, Chikkaballapur said Deputy Commissioner R Latha had directed the departmentalities to declare a two-day vacation for PU schools and colleges in the district.
The decision has considered the safety of school children.
Kolar DC, Dr.
Selvamani, has also announced a vacation for school.
