K’Taka: TV & WhatsApp helps 19 government school toppers

Bengaluru / MySuru: While the number of top scorers in SSLC skyrocketed at this time with 157 students securing 625 of 625, stories of 19 were prominent – they came from government schools and many were members of the farmer’s family.
Without a lot of parental guidance, these children learn mostly through DD Chandana, WhatsApp and Vidyagama, the state sustainable education program that brings teachers to the front of the student’s door.
While 125 toppers come from school without assistance, 13 comes from assisted institutions.
In addition, 42 students from government schools secured 623 values, one bag 622, 74 got 621 and three landed 620.
Some Centum goalscorers from government schools came from farmers and first in their school to go to school.
They have minimal online classes and mostly rely on their dedicated teachers traveling to their villages to teach them, send model question papers through WhatsApp and train them for three months in class.
“My teacher came to my village for three months.
We sat in a temple or under the tree to learn.
It’s fun to study in our own neighborhood, in an open area.
From January to April, we have regular classes until the lock.
After that , We interact through WhatsApp, “said Chaitra D, who is the daughter of agricultural workers who produce Rs 250 a day.
A Junior College government student, Bhaktharahalli, Tumakuru District, Chaitra is the first in his close family to go to school.
Srikanth NR, whose father fosters yeast, said his teacher used to visit his village once in 15 days during Vidyagama.
“We sit under a tree and learn.
They used to give us homework until they come back again.
Brother, a student of BCOM, also helped me.
I want to pursue computer science engineering later,” said Middle School students, Mandya, Mandya, who have Some live classes.
Keerthi Rajendra Karpepagol, whose father is Dailywage workers and the mother of a Teacher Anganwadi, said the revised class aired on DD Chandana was very helpful.
“I didn’t miss one day.
I also answered the model question papers,” he said.
Keithi is a government high school student, Shiragavi, Besavavi.
All of these toppers maintain ambition to become a doctor / engineer.
Harshitha GS, a student from the Government Middle School, Kissing the Narasipura Taluk from Mysuru District, said he expected 624 because he did not write the correct answer to the question in Kannada.
“However, when the question itself is wrong, the sign is given.
My dream is to become an engineer,” said Harshitha, whose father was a farmer.
Keerthana, a BM Government High School student, Maragowdanahalli in the Mandya district said.
“I expect a full mark as I prepared well.
The teacher is used to send model question papers and do tests every week.
They prepared we maintain a new format in mind,” he said.
“I moved to Bengaluru for PU.
My dream is pursuing medical education,” Keerthana said, who studied in English media.
Srinivas C, a student from Middle School, Navilemaddur Village, Mandya District, said he was sure of this score.
A middle-medium student, Srinivas said he would choose the flow of science in PU.
“School closure because Covid-19 or switching to online learning mode does not affect my study,” he said.
