K’Taka: -Ve covid test reports must be for them from Kerala

Mangaluru / MySuru: After the uptick in the Covid-19 case in Karnataka, the district administration in Chamarajanagar, Mysore and Dakshina Kannada has increased the vigil along the Kerala border.
MySuru reported a 40% increase in the case on Thursday, after shifting the two digit numbers for the first time since the second wave hit 396 new cases on Thursday to see the level of pioneering 5.7% surge, after which floated around 4% Mark for the past week.
The authority said the surge in Kerala had a ripple effect in Karnataka.

However, an official from the Administration of Mysuru District said people from Kerala who had received two vaccine doses were released from producing a negative certificate.
Dr T Ravikumar, Health Officer, HD Kote Taluk, said his staff was filtering people who arrived from Kerala and collect details about tourists.
“We collected information such as addresses and telephone numbers at Chartpost Bavali in MySuru District,” he said.
Police officials, forests and health have jointly intensify screening operations on the Bavali border, said an official.
