K’Taka: -Ve test report must be for Wilaya from Maha, Kerala

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Government on Saturday made it mandatory for people traveling from Maharashtra and Kerala to produce negative RT-PCR test reports regardless of their vaccination status.
Moving, part of the steps to increase pandemic supervision at the entry point, follow the report of the surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in neighboring countries.
“It doesn’t matter if someone traveling from these two countries has taken the first or second vaccine dose.
The person should bring Covid negative reports, no more than 72 hours, to enter Karnataka,” said a senior health department official.
The revised travel guidelines, was issued by the Secretary of the Additional Chief (Health) of Jawaid Akhtar, clarifying that the rules apply to all passengers, including those who came with flights from two countries.
The airline has been asked to publish boarding passes to only people carrying a negative RT-PCR certificate.
Railway and bus officials were also asked to enforce the same.
The Deputy Commissioner of the Regency Like Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu and Mysuru which limits Kerala and Besavavi, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi and Bidar that the border of Maharashtra has been directed to set a checkpost and spread adequate staff to ensure that all vehicles entering Karnataka are examined.

Tourists with family or medical emergencies will be exchanged on arrival and their contact details will be taken, according to the guidelines.
“The spread of Covid-19 during the second phase of the pandemic was associated with inter-state movements.
While North Kabupaten Karnataka such as the Bethobavi saw higher cases after the arrival of Maharashtra, coastal districts, including Dakshina Kannada, saw more cases because of the movement from Kerala, “said other senior health officials.
“Bengaluru, who witnessed the movements of many people from these countries, bear the burden of the second wave.
We do not want to be caught in front of the third possible wave.” Bengaluru reported around 15,000 cases in the first week of June.
At present, the weekly calculation is 2,750, with a number of Daily Covid in the range of 400-450.

What about daily visitors? A large number of students travel to Karnataka regularly.
Considering this fact, the state government has made several changes to new rules to produce negative RT-PCR reports.
While putting aside the complete exception for this daily traveler, a revised circular said: “It is mandatory for students and other people who visit Karnataka every day for education or business to undergo a RT-PCR test once in 15 days and have a negative report.”
