K’Taka was told to release 28TMCT water to TN

Chennai: The Authority of Cauvery’s Water Management on Tuesday suspended the plan of the Mekedatu Karnataka Dam after a strong objection from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
The authority also suspended the Cauvery-Gundar Interlinking project of the Tamil Nadu government after objections from Karnataka representatives.
While Tamil Nadu and Karnataka bureaucrats took part in the meeting held by Cwma Chairman S Ka Haldar in New Delhi, Representative of Puduchherry and Kerala joined through video conferencing.
“Mekedatu was put in the agenda and we wanted to discuss it.
But looking at the state view (from Tamil Nadu), we have delayed this problem.
We will take it again at the right time,” Haldar told reporters in New Delhi.
Haldar said the approval of the four basin regions was needed for a project in a basin.
The Tamil Nadu government has strongly opposed the discussion about Mekedatu and demanded that the approval of the four countries is needed for the same thing.
Meanwhile, in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Minister of Water Resources S Durai Murugan said he was pleased to notify that the Mekedatu Dam project was not taken for discussion after Tamil Nadu raised this issue.
“I talked to the Minister of Union Jal Shakti.
He did not realize the agenda and told me to take it with authority,” said Durai Murugan, aroused hard fuckers in the assembly.
The Minister considered a round voice from the Assembly against the project last week.
The official press release from the TN government said, “The state should realize 86.38TMCF according to the court order.
But the Government of Karnataka has released only 57TMCT as on August 30 and it must make shortages of 27.86TMCT.
