KTU Presents online well-being sessions for Pupils

Thiruvananthapuram: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has established a collection of online initiatives to encourage the emotional wellbeing of pupils during outbreak times. The multi-layered encouraging strategy is anticipated to hand-hold pupils that are presently experiencing cases of learning isolation, significant reliance on internet connectivity for both academic exercises/activities as well as other diverse problems that emerge in the prevailing position. The college, in conjunction with Indian Psychiatry Association, Kerala chapter, is providing pupils online counseling support during the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) helpline’Manasamitra’. Students may get 0484-7199638 from 9am to 6pm free of aid from physicians and counsellors, the college police said. Anyway, brief videos of physicians and counsellors are also published on the university Facebook page for pupils to get them at their own convenience. Other endeavors include live online sessions with specialists for generating knowledge on successful management of high-stress conditions. The occasion has begun with a interactive session with Dr Jayaprakashan K P, associate professor of Psychiatry, Govt medical school clinic, Thiruvananthapuram. Similar sessions at frequent periods are scheduled to help keep the pupils’ spirits , the varsity educated.
