Kumar Sangakkara sympathized with Ben Stokes for the mental health break

LONDON: Sri Lanka Great Kumar Sangakkara said the player could “only deal with so many” after the announcement of England All-rounder Ben Stokes took a unlimited break from all forms of cricket to “prioritize his mental well-being”.
Stokes, the latest high profile sports star to stay away from the pressure of international competition, has now withdraw from the England squad ahead of the five-match series against India starting from the trent bridge next week next week.
The British cricket board and Wales added Friday the 30-year-old World Cup winner also ruled out to rest his left index finger.
He has rushed back from the injury to lead England in a one-day international series against Pakistan earlier this month after all who was originally chosen ruled out by the Coronavirus outbreak in the host camp.
Stokes’s decision came only a few days after American Superstar’s gymnastist Simone Biles came out of two events at the Tokyo Olympics to also protect their mental health.
The 24-year-old struggle followed Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka, another face from the match that lost in the third round at his return from a mental health break, after being pulled from the Frenchman who was opened and passed by Wimbledon said he had struggled against him.
Depression and anxiety.
The English Team Managing Director Ashley Giles, offered his support for Stokes, said the old impact of playing international cricket in bubble bubbles during the coronavirus pandemic had been “very challenging”.
Meanwhile, Sangakkara told Sky Sports: “This must be a very time, it is very difficult for Ben and his family.
It won’t be a decision made easily but (IT) brings focusing on the level of the elite player in the coping mechanism you can only Dealing with so much.
“A lot of time away from home, in bubbles, restrictions on the freedom of movement, then additional pressures do at a high public level.
He added: “We have a number of elite athletes who have talked about mental well-being and the effects of covid and the surrounding pressure, and of course the pressure at the center of attention, which has caused them to make some very difficult decisions.” Stokes, which in normal circumstances will be.
Being the deputy captain to test Captain Joe Root, is the main character for England.
In 71 tests, he has scored 4,631 runs at 37.04 as a dynamic left-handed batsman, including 10 hundreds, and took 163 numbers at 31.38.
However, more than raw figures, it is its ability to balance the side and over all, change the game with bats or balls that make stokes of valuable players.
The amazing unbeaten date that saw England for a tremendous victory in the 2019 Abu Test in Headingley was one of the contributions of the winner of the match.
As also playing under the shadow of Covid-19, last year had seen Stokes overcome the death of his father Ged, a former international Rugby League New Zealand, from brain cancer.
“I hope he’s fine – he’s an extraordinary Cricketer, one of the best in the world today,” said former British Batsman Kevin Pietersen.
“He clearly lost his father, there were many things that happened to Ben Stokes in recent years.” Stokes breaks announced only a few hours after the ECB said to welfare players was “paramount” ahead of the upcoming ash tour from Australia amid concerns some of their parties may not travel except the restrictions of Coronavirus are currently in Australia relaxing.
In particular, all format players such as Stokes, a husband and father of small children, can be separated from their families for up to four months because the series of five-test ash started just a few weeks after the end of November from the world of Twenty20 trophies in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
