Kvic launched a round, pottery cluster to mark birthday pm

VARANATION: The Khadi and Village Industry Commission (KVIC) launched a unique scheme – strengthening the potential of India (spin) – and established a pottery cluster under the funding scheme for the regeneration of traditional industries (SFURTI) in Varanasi to empower more than 1,100 people.
The Pottter Marginalization Community on the occasion of ‘DIVEN RENTS’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Friday.
The Minister of State for MSMEs, Bhanu Pratap Singh Versma launched a round scheme where 780 Potters from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Jharkhand have registered financial assistance from the bank themselves to start their own business.
Of all this, 110 craftsmen come from Varanasi.
Speaking on that occasion, Verma said that the round is a program specifically designed to make sustainable potter-independent.
Under the scheme, KVIC will facilitate Potters to get easy loans from banks that will help Potters to diversify their activities and increase their income.
“This will reduce their dependence on government subsidies and thus make our Potters independently,” Verma said.
He further said that the Kashi pottery clusters will only help pottery pottery in improving their skills with the help of modern equipment which will eventually help them occupy a larger market room and get better income.
According to the Chairperson of Kvic Vinai Kumar Saxena, unlike Kumhar Sashaktikan Yojana, which is a subsidized-based program, Spin scheme allows registered potter to get a direct loan from the bank under the Pradhan Mantri Shishu Mudra Yojana.
Under the round scheme, KVIC acts as a facilitator for financial assistance to Potters through RBL Bank and also provides training to craftsmen who choose this scheme.
Under this scheme, there will be no financial burden on added value and loans will be repaid by Potter in easy installments.
The round scheme, thus, aims to instill self-sustainability in the Indian pottery sector.
Versma also inaugurated “Kashi Pottery Cluster” in Bhatti Village.
Saxena said that this was the first pottery cluster in the Varanasi district founded by KVIC under the SFURTI scheme.
Cluster, set an area of 7,100 square feet with a cost of Rs 2.50 Crore, has provided direct work to 340 pottery craftsmen who have been trained by KVIC.
This cluster is equipped with modern equipment such as furnaces, electric milling wheels, blunger machines, pug mills and other modern equipment for higher clay pottery production.
Saxena said sustainable development by creating local entrepreneurs was the main goal of KVIC which was in harmony with the commitment of PM “work to each hand” (Har Hath Me Kam).
“Round schemes and Kashi pottery clusters will play a leading role in empowering the Potters community, which is the dream of the prime minister.
Apart from pottery, KVIC will also explore the strengthening of other traditional art under the round scheme,” Saxena said.
In addition, the KVIC distributed tools set to 80 carpentry craftsmen in Varanasi and also planted 2000 bamboo puppies in the revelation in Varanasi.
