KWC records Anupama’s statement

T’puram: Anupama, a woman who accused her parents took her newborn baby and gave it for adoption, appearing before the Kerala Women’s Commission (KWC) to record her statement in connection with the filed petition.
Respondents in this case, who are parents, sisters, brothers and sisters and two CPM workers, did not appear for the trial.
Instead, they sent a letter to the Commission stating that they could not attend the procedure because other cases had occurred before the court.
Although the Commission has directed the State Council for the welfare of children and the police to submit a report on the Anupama petition, the two institutions have not obeyed.
Anupama said he was waiting for a child’s welfare committee response to their application looking for a DNA test.
The Committee is expected to hold hearing on Monday in this matter.
