L & T was fined Rs 5 lakh for violating dust norms

New Delhi: Kicking Delhi’s anti-dust campaign on Thursday, the Minister of Environment Gopal Rai conducted a surprise inspection in Mathura Road and issued a fine of Rs 5 Lakh at L & T, Project Proponert for Underpass Dust Pragati, after finding a violation dust norm in place.
Rai also launched a special web portal to monitor compliance with dust norms, which would allow any construction that occurred in Delhi to make online payments and send self-assessment data about whether government guidelines were being met or not.

“There are two categories where someone can connect to the portal.
There are 15 obligatory steps that need to be followed by everyone and 12 desired steps that will make a total score of 260 points.
While steps must make 200 points, 60 other points will be Given to follow the other 12.
Based on total, the action will begin and payment must be made, “Rai said.
