New Delhi: The authorization process of the new Border Police Indo-Tibet (ITBP), which is tasked with securing Indo-China borders, is in the final stage and the government is committed to providing full logistical support and modern gadgets to carry out their duties, the Minister of Man Head of Union Nityaan and Rai said on Sundays.
Overcoming the events of the 60th day of the ITBP trained with the mountain war, Rai said the government last year gave sanctions 47 new border posts and a dozen staging camps (operational bases for troops who conduct border patrols).
“Considerations to provide new power and battalions for ITBP are in the final stage,” he said.
An official of the PTI report quote said that the style is expected to get sanctions on the seven new battalions consisting of around 8,000 personnel for its new border posts which will primarily appear in the Arunachal Pradesh sector from LAC on the east side of India.
The proposal to sanction new ITBP battalions and sector headquarters in the northeast has considered the ministry of the house for several years now.
After last year’s sanctions from the new border post and the staging camp, the proposal is expected to be immediately approved.
Rai praised the ITBP for their courage and to give the “full reply” to their opponents during the clash between Indian and Chinese forces in Ladakh last year.
He also adorned 20 ITBP officers with a police medal for the Galantry given to them on independence this year, to show the courage during the clash and fight the attack.
