‘Lack of Experiments to Postpone vaccination drive’

KOLKATA:”The West Bengal authorities couldn’t launch its own universal vaccination programme – aimed in inoculating individuals from the 18-45 age class totally free of price – because of paucity of jabs,” a senior health department official stated.

The West Bengal government had recognized bus conductors, drivers, hawkers and vegetable sellers as”superspreaders”, also stated attention is to inoculate themtheir family and relatives.
“We will take inventory of this source and decide upon the future plan of actions…
At presentwe could vaccinate near 3 lakh people each day, but possess the ability to fortify it into five lakh every day shots,” the official added.
The central authorities on Monday kickstarted the worldwide vaccination programme to provide states free vaccines to the 18-45 age group.
Until Sunday, approximately 1.9 crore individuals had obtained a minumum of one dose of Covid-19 vaccine in West Bengal, based on official statistics.
From this amount, 42,74,276 beneficiaries are completely inoculated with 2 doses.
