Lack of quality debate in parliament: CJI

New Delhi criticized the function of parliament, the chairman of Indian justice (CJI) NV Ramanna on Sunday said it was a sorry and there was a lack of quality debate in parliament.
“Now this is a sorry (on parliamentary debate).
The law has a lot of ambiguity.
And the court does not know the object and intention behind enacting the law,” Cji said.
He called parliamentary debate after independence as very lit.
“If you see the debate used in the house, they used to be very wise, constructive,” he added.
He said there was a lack of quality debate in parliament while enacting laws that lead to litigation.
“There seems to be a lack of quality debate in parliament while enacting law.
This leads to many litigation & courts, in the absence of quality debate, cannot understand the intention And the object behind a new law, “said Cji NV Ramana at the flag lifting ceremony on the Supreme Court campus.
He said posts -Independence, lawyers were in large quantities of parliament which might cause knowledgeable debates.
He said the lawyer community must improve themselves to public life and bring change in parliamentary debates.
Ramana regretted the lack of debate in parliament while enacting law.
“This leads to many litigation and courts, in the absence of quality debate, cannot understand the intention and objects behind new law,” Cji added.
