Lack of Supply of Covid Vaccine Understanding Ludhiana Administration Efforts

Ludhiana: Even when the district administration recently indicates that they want to comply with 33,000 people every day, it is challenging to regulate vaccines to meet the daily target.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health Authority does not have a stock to vaccinate people on Monday.
Administration on June 21 said he wanted to comply with 33,000 people every day and deputy commissioners had asked the local body of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) to provide at least 100 health teams to meet the next one million targets in one month.
Before the third wave of Covid-19 expected.
Data from the Ministry of Health showed that in most days after the district administration announcement, vaccination was below the desired number, except July 3, the Mega vaccination camp day, when 82,677 people were affixed – the highest in the state.
The second highest number was recorded on July 7, when 24,977 people were vaccinated, even though it was lower than the target of 33,000.
On two days – June 30 and July 8 – no vaccination session held in the district due to lack of vaccine stock.
Only 1,229 people were attached to June 29 and 1,494 at 6.
“We have proven the capacity by vaccinating more than 82,000 people in a day in 308 vaccination locations.
We can maintain numbers but depend on the supply.
We want to vaccinate people who qualify this month, But with vaccines do not come, it is something out of our control, “said Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma.
He added that they had a vaccine stock on June 26 and July 2 and since then they have not received stock until July 10.
The Department of Health’s authority said they did not have a vaccine for Monday.
“We don’t have a dose of covaxin for the morning and don’t know when we will get a stock covishield,” said the immunization district of Dr.
Puneet Junkeja.
He added that the district government had planned to get people who met the requirements vaccinated on August 15, but exposed to lack of supply.
The Ministry of Health officials said that even when around 24 people lakh over the age of 18 must be immunized in this district, the amount dated with the first dose was slightly less than half the target.
“It is important to vaccinate the maximum number of people who meet the requirements in front of the third wave.
The central government must provide an adequate supply of vaccines to the Ministry of Health,” said former President Ima Dr.
Suneel Katyal.
Residents are waiting for shares.
“When I asked about the availability of vaccines, I was told that the Ministry of Health did not have a covishield dose.
I will be inoculated when the stock arrives,” said Mandeep Singh, a trader from the city.
Calculation by Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) shows that the third wave is most likely in the last week of September.
However, the findings suggest that it might be delayed in Ludhiana if 70% of people who meet the requirements are immunized and people follow the appropriate behavior of Covid.
