New Delhi: Two years after the bifurasa, the state of Jammu & Kashmir Eshtan (J & K) has lost more than special status.
The Ladakh Union (UT) area on Wednesday stated that the iconic black-necked crane (Grus Nigricollis) and Snow Leopard (Panther UNICA) were respectively as birds and their country’s animals.
Both animals are residents who are proud of the Ladakh plateau which is geographically adjacent to the Tibetan plateau.
Black-necked crane is a state bird and Kashmir Stag or Hangul (Cervus Hanglu Hanglu) is a country animal from J & K before Bifurkasi.
The center on August 5, 2019 canceled Article 370 of the Constitution to end the special status of J & K and opened the way to notification from USTS Ladakh and J & K in October of that year.
Ladakh’s wildlife official said the status of state or animal birds showed recognition of the uniqueness of wildlife species to an area.
“The status will be financially strengthening efforts to protect this unique species and save their natural habitat,” said an official of the Senior Wildlife Department to Ti who asked for anonymity.
“Black-necked crane and snow leopard are iconic species and an integral part of the unique Ladakh landscape and culture.
They are a healthy functional ecosystem indicator, which we must protect for our own survival too.
This step will increase conservation steps due to funds The state is expected to be easier, “said Naturalist and the author of Ananda Banerjee’s award winning to Ti.
East Ladakh is the only breeding place for black-necked cranes outside China.
The population in Ladakh is estimated at 80-100, while globally around 6,000.
Majestic birds are found in Changthang Plains which include Chushul, Hanle and Tso Morir and Tso Kar Lakes in East Ladakh.
Birds face threats to their existence from explaining tourism and wild dogs that devour their eggs and hatches.
Indian soldiers maintain a large nesting soil in the vast plains of the Chushul Valley almost on the border with China, which is expected to be a threat because the area has been opened for tourists.
Similar to other areas.
Snow Leopard was found in Ruspshu and Nubra Valleys as well as the Changspa area in Leh District and Zagla in Zanskar in the Cargil area.
It was also seen in SPII and PIN Valleys of Himachal Pradesh.
