Leh: Only one fresh Covid-19 case reported in Ladakh in the last 24 hours, officials here said on Saturday.
A total of eight patients recovered on Friday reduce the calculation of active cases to 91.
Seven patients were dismissed from Leh after treatment, and one recovered in Cargil, said a government official.
The overall number of cases in Ladakh so far is 21,006.
The union area has registered one death and 44 cases since the beginning of this month with the majority of reported cases from Leh Regency.
The new case was detected in Leh, taking the district counting to 17,387, the official said, added that compared to Leh, the Cargil District only recorded 3,619 cases of Covid-19 since last year’s virus outbreak.
Ladakh has so far registered 209 deaths related to Covid – 151 in Leh and 58 in Cargil – while a total of 20,706 patients have recovered from infection.
There are currently 87 active cases in Leh and four in Cargil.
There were no deaths reported from UT on Friday.
