Thane: The police have arrested a 19-year-old man and confiscated him Powder Mephedrone worth Rs 18.94 lakh near Mira Railway Station in the Thane Maharashtra District, an official said on Wednesday.
Anti-narcotics cell officials from the Virar Mira Bhayandar-Vasai police arrested the defendant, identified as Sadak Rashid Ansari, a resident of Nalasopara in the adjacent Palghar district, on Tuesday, said DCP (crime) Mahesh Patil.
“Acting on a tip-off, the official team put a trap near the Mira Road train station and confiscated from him Mephedrone (MD) powder with a weight of 378.8 grams,” he said.
A violation was registered underneath under drug narcotics and psychotropic substances (NDPS) acting at the Naya Nagar Police Station in Mira Road, said Patil, added that investigations about this case.
