Lakhimpur violence: SKM Forms 7-member Advocate Panel to combat court cases

NEW DELHI: Samkyukta Kisan Morcha on Saturday said the lawyer panel seven members had been formed to fight cases in court in connection with lakishimpur violence.
Samkyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of 40 Farmers pioneered farmer agitation on three Central Agri laws, said the panel consisted of advocate Suresh Kumar Munna, Harjeet Singh, Anupam Verma, Yadvinder Singh, Surindh Singh, Yadvinder, Singh and Israr Ahmed.
“The seven member team will pursue a legal battle against Mishra Ashish who is accused and the other in the case of Lakhimpur Kheri,” he said in a statement.
The farmer’s body said it would also fight for the dismissal and arrest of the Minister of State for Ajay Kumar Mishra’s home.
Furthermore, said the advocate panel would work continuously under the guidance of senior supporters Samyukta Kisan Morcha to bring justice to the farmers who died and injured, including the family of young journalists who were killed in the incident.
Eight people were killed in the October 3 incident.
Four farmers and a journalist were hit when a car allegedly driven by Ashish Mishra hijacked through the farmer column running in the Tikunia Village of Lakhimpur Kheri Regency.
