Lakshadweep saw protests when Friday schools did not change

Kochi: Lakshadweep Administration has changed the weekly outside the day for schools in the Union region from Friday to Sunday, triggering protests in the Islands dominated by Muslims.

“The decision was taken without discussion with Panchayat District, elected representatives or PTA.

Faizal said the new timing would also collide with the Madrassa system on the islands on Friday morning.
