Patna: JD (U) The leader in Lok Sabha and Muler MP Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh (66) is on Saturday unanimously nominated as his party’s national president at the National Executive Committee meeting in New Delhi.
, The Chairman of the Union and JD Minister (U) RCP Singh proposed the name Lalan Singh as President of the New Party at the National Executive Board Meeting.
The RCP proposal was approved unanimously by all members of the executive committee, a senior leader JD (U) told Ti by telephone.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was also present at the meeting.
The leading leaders of JD (U) who approved the proposal to nominate Lalan Singh as JD (U) President was Secretary General of the National Party K Tyagi, Head of the Parliamentary Council and former Union Minister of Union Kushwaha and Rajya Members Sabha Singh Bashishhtha.
With this, Lalan Singh, who currently represents a muler seat at Lok Sabha, has become the fourth National President JD (U) after Sharad Yadav, Nitish Kumar and RCP Singh.
Previously, Lalan Singh also served as President of the Party of Bihar Party from 2005 to February, 2010.
Lok Sabha members three times, Lalan first won parliamentary poll in 2004 from members JD (U).
In the 2009 general election, he turned to the neighboring seat chair and won the parliamentary election for the second term in a row.
However, he lost the munder seat to Veena Devi, Lok Jansakti party in the 2014 General Election.
But once again win the Munger seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha poll Then, he also made the cabinet minister in Kumar Nithish’s government and gave allegations of the Department of Water Resources.
Previously in 2010 when he worked as the President of the State JD (U), Lalan rebelled against CM Nith Kumar for certain problems.
But then in 2013, he once again increased his relationship with Nitish Kumar and got a symbol of the party to oppose Lok Sabha’s poll as a candidate JD (U) from the munder seat.
