Agra: The Uttar Pradesh Government has ordered an investigation into the land leased to the Muslim University of Aligarh (AMU) for 90 years by the deceased Jat King Mahendra Pratap Singh in 1929, after a complaint was submitted by a local resident who claimed that even though there was a settlement.
The lease period, the land has not been returned by the University.
Commissioner (Division of Aligarh) Guarav Dayal told TII that he had received a letter from the additional SP Goyal Secretary.
“I have been looking for reports from district judges (DM),” he said.
In particular, the deceased Jat King, a fighter of freedom and social reformer, who donated land for various educational institutions, was an alumnus of Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College, who later became Amu.
He has provided 3.04 hectares of land to rental universities to build schools in 1929.
In his complaint submitted with cm, the President of the Organization Aahuti, Ashok Chaudhary, claimed the land given to the University on August 14, 1929, through the Court Ward must be submitted to the country, Which is the owner, according to the act zam avoided abolition and Land Reforms, 1952.
