Land for rent to Amu by Jat King: Probe ordered

Agra: The Uttar Pradesh Government has ordered an investigation into the land leased to the Muslim University of Aligarh (AMU) for 90 years by the deceased Jat King Mahendra Pratap Singh in 1929, after a complaint was submitted by a local resident who claimed that even though there was a settlement.
The lease period, the land has not been returned by the University.
Commissioner (Division of Aligarh) Guarav Dayal told TII that he had received a letter from the additional SP Goyal Secretary.
“I have been looking for reports from district judges (DM),” he said.
In particular, the deceased Jat King, a fighter of freedom and social reformer, who donated land for various educational institutions, was an alumnus of Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental College, who later became Amu.
He has provided 3.04 hectares of land to rental universities to build schools in 1929.
In his complaint submitted with cm, the President of the Organization Aahuti, Ashok Chaudhary, claimed the land given to the University on August 14, 1929, through the Court Ward must be submitted to the country, Which is the owner, according to the act zam avoided abolition and Land Reforms, 1952.
He further declared the land must be used to build a state university named King, as a respect.
“Because there was an agreement between the state government and King Mahendra Pratap Singh in 1960 which prohibits the land used by him and his family members for personal use, other lands will be owned by the state government,” Chaudhary said on Thursday.
, Adding that in accordance with Part 2 (1) C of Zamari Law, the state has the right to take land that is “misused or owned illegally”.
Incidentally, Charat Pratap Singh, the grandson of ordinary man, has served legal notice to the University in 2018 concerning the expensation of rent.
He has said, “Two pieces of land were given by my grandfather’s grandfather to Amu to promote education.
We donate a larger land where the Amu City School was built, only to keep inheritance behind and in return from the Institute will give school names after the name of the king.
“Another small piece of land measuring 1,221 hectares has also been released from rent.
Therefore, King’s family members demanded that AMU’s authority must empty the ground or buy it at a market price.
The AUU Executive Board has formed a committee to see this problem in September last year.
When contacted, AMU spokesman Prof.
Shafey Kidwai said, even though the executive board was ready with a proposal Singh, the final decision had not been taken.
“The problem is being processed and the decision will be sent to the ministry of his approval.” Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi put the foundation of a university to be named after King Mahendra Pratap Singh.
At least 396 levels of universities in the Aligarh Division must be affiliated with this upcoming university.
