Thane: The process of land acquisition for high-speed train projects Mumbai-Ahmedabad in the Thane district is likely to be completed in the next two months, officials said on Thursday.
The announcement was made to attend a meeting for land acquisition called Commissioner Division Konkan (DC) Vilas Patil to review important infrastructure projects that passed the Thane district but was detained due to the delay in land acquisition.
“High-speed railroad projects need 79 hectares of land in the Thane District, where 51 hectares have been obtained and the rest in Bhiwandi and Thane Talukas are in various stages of acquisition,” said Prashant Suryawanshi, land acquisition, the Thane District.
He said DC had directed officials to complete the process in the next two months.
