Coimbatore: The National Highways (NH) The state highway (SH) wing has started a land test in Mettupalayam Road in Thudiangur Junction to build a flyover.
The test will be completed in two days and estimates for the project will be prepared soon.
“After the test is complete, we will prepare an estimate for 70 crores to build a flyover at the intersection.
The estimated report will be sent to the Ministry of Transport and the highway.
We plan to invite the project tender at the end of March 2022,” said an official.
NH Wing decided to build Four-Lane Flyover at Trichy Road from Uzhavar Sandhai to Vasantha Mills.
“We have prepared a detailed project report for this project for 130 crores.
Other flyovers will be built for 1.4 km and will include Saravanampatti – Junction Road Kalatti and Saravanampatti – Thudiangur Road Junction.
We will build a fluover at a cost of 70 crores and other flyovers on Saibaba Kovil Junction for 65 crores.
We hope the four flyover project will start from April, “the official said.Tnn
