Colombo: The Lauta 2021 Premier League will begin on December 5 at RPICS, Colombo, with the first game scheduled to be played between Galle and Jaffna.
The first round of the tournament, consisting of 20 matches will be played at RPICS, Colombo before moving to Mrik, Hambantota for the final match.
The league final will be played on December 23 at Mrics, Hambantota.
This year’s tournament has December 24 as a ‘prospective day’ for the final.
LPL, which is the top domestic tournament Sri Lanka, with a sense of international, will consist of 24 matches and will see the participation of domestic and international tourism top.
The last round match will see the top two teams in the Pointer table playing qualifying 1, while Team 3 and 4 are placed on a playing table in Eliminator.
Qualifying 1 winner will go straight into the final, while the 1 qualifying loser will play against the winner of the Eliminator in qualifying 2, with the winner of the game entering the final.
