Dehradun: The center of regional meteorology on Sunday issued a warning for landslides in the hilly area of Uttarakhand because heavy rainfall is likely to destroy several parts of the country, including state capital, until August 26.
According to ‘Yellow Warning’ issued by Met Center, “small to moderate and falling stone landslides” is likely to occur in isolated places in hills and vulnerable places between 22 and 26 August.
People are also advised to be careful and take refuge during the storm and lightning, he said.
In addition, people who live near Rivulet and the flow have been advised to remain vigilant because there may be a puddle of low-lying areas in the plains.
Heavy rainfall with an intense mantra is likely to occur in isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Bageshwar Regency from the state between 23 and 26 August, according to the MET Center commemoration.
Bikram Singh, regional meteorological center director, said, “Monsun will remain active on Uttarakhand for the next four to five days.
