Nagpur: Divisional Commissioner Prajaka Lavangare Verma on Tuesday met with several top industrial homes and their associations to conduct brainstorming in vaccination 5 Lakh industry workers in six Nagpur Division districts so that economic activities can be revived.
With the ‘Bio Bubble’ system from a place to live for workers and entrepreneurs at the work site that turns into a burden, the focus is now to fully vaccinate the workforce of all types of industries.
According to a survey conducted by the Joint Industry Director, around 55.75% of clusters have taken the first dose or have been vaccinated.
In large industries that number is 65%.
“The administration now focuses on ensuring the left segment is also vaccinated before the third waves anticipated,” said AP Dharmadhikari, Joint Director.
Apart from the start of vaccination center near the industrial cluster or zone consulting with local administration, Verma was studied to insist on the large industry that transferred the company’s social responsibility fund (CSR) to vaccinate workers.
With the government distributing a 25% vaccine into the private health sector, Verma has appealed to large industrial homes to make workers vaccinated before starting full manufacturing.
“We have issued their standard operating procedures (SOP) for the industrial sector and now focuses on vaccination,” Verma said.
Another debated plan is a special transportation system from worker’s residence to industry.
Following the instructions last week for the commissioner and division collector by the Chairperson of the Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray, the initiative has begun throughout the country to revive economic activities.
According to the SOP, the unit does not need to be turned off if only a few cases are covid.
Complete disinfection of the area where they operate has been suggested.
Deploying Covid managers or supervisors is also recommended to keep workforce.
