Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District Authority gave 1.3 lakh vaccine doses, as part of the mega vaccination drive until 8:30 a.m.
on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner K V Rajendra said the district government made preparations to bring all that eligible to get vaccination.
“We have launched a mega vaccination drive very carefully, and all the necessary preparations are made.
We have set a goal of one dose of Lakh in the previous week, but the results are not in accordance with the sign.
We set 600 centers to provide 1.5 lakh doses Vaccines during mega vaccination drive in the district on Friday.

At present, the level of covid-19 district of this district is around 1.3%, and the focus is to reduce the percentage further.
The case fatality rate has also been reduced in the district, he added.
The udupi district gave 49,699 vaccine doses until 8pm, said DC M Kurma Rao.
“The district has reached 85% in the target for the first dose of vaccine.
Meanwhile, 35% of those who received the first dose, have also been given the second dose,” he said.
