SRINAGR: A big terror attack in front of independence day was avoided by the murder of terrorist Lashkar-e-Taiba in early Friday in an overnight operation in the South Kunds Kashmir District while his accomplice managed to escape.

IGP Kumar said the terror attack was planned at J & K in front of future independence day in an effort to instill fear between citizens and prevented them from attending the I-Day function.
“We have put strict security measures to ensure the functions are carried out smoothly and ask people to attend them without fear,” he added.
