Lasika Mela: Dakshina Kannada aims to manage 1.2 doses of lakh

Mangaluru: In an effort to analyzen a larger part of the eligible population against Covid-19, district administration in Dakshina Kannada organizes the mass vaccination drive ‘Lasika Mela’, hopes to manage 1.2 lakh doses on Friday.
Interacting with the Ministry of Health officials through video conferencing on Thursday, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra said that they had not received the second dose of vaccines to be considered than those who received the first dose.
“Give a vaccine to all those aged over 18, and make sure Lasika Mela successfully.
We must be very careful to prevent the third wave of pandemics.
We need to increase the testing and protocol Covid-19 is strictly enforced,” said Rajendra.
A total of 67,000 vaccine doses will be stocked at Mangaluru Taluk, while the remaining shares will be distributed between Bantwal, Belthangady, Puburtur and Sutia.
DC instructed the Ministry of Health officials to demand anger worker and Asha in vaccination centers.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Kumar asked officials to compile their list that had not received the second dose of the Covid vaccine.
About the possibility of allowing the operation of the bus between Mangaluru and Kasilagod, DC said that the district government would assess the current situation at Kerala Vis-à-Vis Covid-19 in the coming week, and made recommendations to the state government about relaxing limitations.
