Last lap monsoon: Dam in Raj in full glory

Jaipur: The last spell of Southwest Monsun has rejuvenated the majority of dams and reservoirs in the state.
Bisalpur Dam, who was waiting for good rainfall in the catchment area, finally witnessed a rise on the surface of the water.
The water level is currently at 311.83RL / meter against the full capacity of 315 RL / meter.
Also, with water continuously reaching the catchment area, the authorities expect further improvement at the Dam level.
Even the Jea Pali Dam, who did not receive water for the past three years, is now 15% filled.
The last lap from the rainy season has brought moderate to heavy rainfall in almost every part of the country.
Most places witnessed heavy rainfall because all reservoirs had reached a good water level.
The water level in the city of Barrage (city) has reached 259.52 RL / meter against the full capacity of 260.30 RL / meter.
“Now 96% filled and good rainfall in the city division will further increase its level.
Also good rainfall in neighboring Madhya Pradesh has been associated with increased water surface of the dam,” said an officer with the Department of Water Resources.
Likewise, all 16 mahi dendungan gates located in Banswara opened twice this season due to increased surface of the water.
