Varanasi: On the last Monday of the Holy Month of Shrawan thousands of worshipers and pilgrims from various parts of the country offered Jalabhishek at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and other Lord Shiva temples.
Shiv activist Sena was arrested while making an effort to carry out the procession to offer Jalabhishek at Shringar Gauri last Monday.
On the first Monday, the second and third of the current Shrawan month from 47,000 to 65,000 worshipers had entered KVT to offer Jalabhishek.

Maintaining the tradition of offering Jalabhishek at Shringar Gauri in the place of Gyanvapi activist Sena led by Ajay Chaubey trying to take their procession.
But, the heavy police led by ACP Dashaswamedh Awadhesh Pandey thwarted their offer in Girjaghar Crossing and sent them back to their place.
Diseats in a hurry of worshipers are also seen in the main temples of Lord Shiva including Markandeya Mahadeo in Kaithi, Gauri Kedareshwar, Tilbhandeshwar, Jageshwar, Mrityjaya Mahadeo, Temple of Rameshwar and Rameshwar.
