Thiruvananthapuram: Classes for the last year of students in higher education institutions in the state will begin on October 4 in turn on alternative days.
This decision was achieved at the meeting of the Minister of Higher Education R Bindu with the principal on Friday.
Classes for junior semester students will be decided later considering the experience of the mechanism placed for the last year’s students, Bindu told reporters after the online meeting with the principal.
“To start, the class will be set on alternative days.

Institutions can choose different shift times, according to their convenience.

Drive special vaccination will be held on campuses to ensure that all students get at least one covid vaccine dose.
Drive will be held by coordinating each DMOS, primary health center, university and college campus.
“For effective drives, student statistics and teachers who are not vaccinated will be prepared.
The Covid Alert Committee will be arranged at all campuses.
The class will be held by adhering to the Covid protocol, and the college authorities should ensure the availability of sanitisers, soap and handwash,” said Minister.
Bindu said the department would ask the district collector to restore certain college buildings that had been converted to CFLCs.
They will also be asked to alleviate the teacher who is given allegations of sectoral judges.
“Universities are open to overcome online class limitations.
Online classes will be arranged in all universities.
The principal has been asked to ensure that the learning management system is introduced in their college.
The principal will improve the schedule for Blended classes, using online and offline facilities , “said Bindhu.
He said the government would make the best effort to ensure public transport facilities for college students.
“The institutional head will arrange accommodation facilities at the hostel by ensuring Covid-19 protocol compliance.
Because only students end students are permitted on campus, accommodation in hostels will not be risky,” Bindhu added
