Lauds Center for State Efforts in Implementing Welfare Schemes

Ranchi: The Ministry of Rural Union Development (Mord) has appreciated the efforts carried out by the Jharkhand State Living Living Society (JSLPS) in planning strategic and compliance to extend the co-sponsored social security scheme between the Swadaya group (SHG).

JSLPS can also cover 51% of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jeewan Jeoti Beema YOJNA (PMJJBY) and 26% of the Atal Pension YOJNA (APY).
Talk to Toi, JSLPS CEO Nancy Sahay said, “We have been able to cover 12,94,894 beneficiaries of the target of 20.91.290 under the PM-Jay health insurance scheme while 17.55.218 from the target of 29,78,149 beneficiaries have been borne under the insurance scheme Accident.
In addition, we have also discussed 934,381 of 18.15,680 beneficiaries under PMJJBY, life insurance scheme.
“He also said 86,321 of the 337,760 beneficiaries had also been borne under APY, the retirement scheme from the center.
Sahay credits the good coverage of the scheme to the bank and their staff members who participate actively on a one-month trip.
“We have started Beema Karayein Abhiyan as a special initiative where we ensure that the right information about the scheme reaches targeted recipients.” He said details about premiums and the benefits were communicated to each SHG member in detail.
“After a few days of awareness program, which includes IEC material distribution and through community radio and video, we begin to get a good response and coverage in a month,” he added.

In particular, PM-Jay provides medical coverage of Rs 5 Lakh for each insured member.
While PMSBY and PMJJBY each gave the Security of RS 2-Lakh each in the case of the insured family members and accidents, APY aims to provide permanent income of those aged 60 years and over.
