Lavanya Builide Case: CBI takes over probes

Chennai: Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) on Tuesday took the investigation of the case of Lavanya suicide reported in Thanjavur Tamil Nadu last month.
The central agency has filed pine against Sagayamar, St Michael Women’s hostel guards in Thirukattupalli, in connection with unnatural deaths from the 17-year-old girl.
It has recorded a case beneath it and the guards made the dormitory room, which pushed his daughter to take extreme steps.
Although police Thanbavur submitted a case, Muruganantham approached Madras High Court demanding the CB-CID probe or other independent investigation agent because he lost trust in the Thinjavur police investigation.
Rise consisting of Justice Graminathan ordered the CBI to investigate this case.
Even though the Tamil Nadu government challenged the command in SC, the APEX court allowed the central agent to continue the investigation.
