Lawyers were shot dead in Noida for Property Disputes: Police

Noida: A lawyer was shot dead allegedly by an unknown attacker at Noida Uttar Pradesh, police official said on Tuesday and suspected the competition of family property as a trigger for murder.
The incident occurred on Monday night when a lawyer, which has been identified as a resident of the village of Urarabas Nishant Singh, around 30 years old, returning home, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Nida) Harish Chander said the local Phase 2 police station was told that the lawyer was hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
“As it appeared during the initial probe, he died of a gunshot wound,” Chander said.
He said the police had contacted the family of the deceased and visited the incident site to be investigated.
“It appeared during the initial probe that Nishant had disputes related to property with several relatives for a long time.
His brother also had a dispute with his in-laws.
Both of these angles are being examined in detail,” DCP said.
The police then said Singh Singh’s cousin had been identified as the possibility of suspicion behind the murder, noting that the family of both had old competition related to a property.
There was a conflict between the two parties in the past too but then preventive measures were taken by the police, he said.
“Nishant and Sandeep’s father are brothers but their families do not live together,” said a police officer.
Meanwhile, the police said a fired fired and four teams had been formed to track and catch Sandeep, who fled.
The RS 25,000 gift has also been announced in his arrest, added the police.
