Noida: A lawyer was shot dead allegedly by an unknown striker at Noida Uttar Pradesh, said police official on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Monday night and a dead lawyer had been identified as the Nishant Resident of the village of Urarabas, around 30 years old, the official said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Nida), Harish Chander, said the local Phase 2 police station was warned that the lawyer was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
“As it appeared during the initial probe, he died of a gunshot wound,” Chander said.
He said the police had contacted the family of the deceased and visited the incident site to be investigated.
“It appeared during the initial probe that Nishant had a property-related dispute with several relatives for a long time.
His sister also had a dispute with his in-laws.
Both of these angles were examined in detail,” DCP said.
He said a FIR has been submitted and four police teams have been formed to solve this case.
