Ahmedabad: Director General of Police (DGP) Gujarat on Friday said that 10 paramilitary companies and 33 SRP companies (Country Reserve Police) had been deployed throughout the state to ensure a smooth hallway to Rath Yatra Lord Jagannath in various places.
The statement by Gujarat DGP said that the action plan had been cheated by Rath Yatras held in Bhavnagar, Anand, Vadodara, Rajkot and Letters on July 12.
“After some negotiations, the organizers of Rath Yatras have been ordered to hold a process.
Along the route shorter and to follow the Covid-19 guidelines,” read the statement.
The police have been deployed to prevent large meetings.

DGP ordered all police personnel to stand for Rath Yatra’s duties.
He also directed the traffic police to put a barricade on different routes from Rath Yatras to prevent the entry of people.
This time, given the Covid-19 situation, worshipers have not been allowed to participate in the Rath Yatra procession.
