After addressing several petitions into the Union authorities, a bunch of 187 distinguished men have written to opposition parties, so requesting them to measure up constructive actions in affiliation with civil society to ready the nation for its struggle against Covid-19.
The signatories, such as academics Aditya Mukherjee, Mridula Mukherjee, Romila Thapar and Irfan Habib; economists Kaushik Basu, Prabhat Patnaik and Jayati Ghosh; activists Shantha Sinha, Harsh Mander and Wilson Bezwada, stated the stunt has deepened the fault-lines in society and in the light of their actions of omission and commission from the Union authorities, It’s up to the resistance to measure and prepared themselves for another tide.
