Leakage in food packet: Delivery executive thrashed in Gurugram’s South City-2

GURUGRAM: Angry over leakage in food packet, a resident of South City-2 allegedly assaulted a man who had gone to his house to deliver the order.
An FIR has been registered in the case.
Charan Singh (27), from Sector 75, said he works with a leading food delivery app.
On Wednesday evening, he picked up an order from a local restaurant and went to deliver that at the given address in South City-2.
“Once I reached the house, a domestic staff collected the order.
But soon, a youth came out and slapped me.
He also started abusing me saying there was leakage in the food packet.
Initially, I did not understand why he was abusing me.
A security guard from the society was also present there,” Singh said, adding that the man kept threatening him after that.
“I just took the order from the restaurant for delivery.
I did not know about any leakage,” Singh said.
Later, the man was taken to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10.
The medical report mentioned physical assault and minor injury, police said.
“A case has been registered at Sector 50 police station under sections 323 (causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC,” said Gurugram police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
