Panaji: The Ministry of Union for Road and Highway Transportation (Morth) works in pre-feasibility studies for the proposed multi-capital logistics park, which is expected to appear around the country’s capital.
Parks will be developed by private players and model concession agreements and requests for proposals in the pipe.
Morth and Government Goa have not identified locations for logistics parks, which are one of the 35 planned by centers throughout the country.
“Pre-feasibility studies are ongoing.
Land Parcel will be identified,” said the corpse.
In October 2017, the Cabinet Committee of the Economy (CCEA) mandated Morth to develop 35 logistics parks throughout the country.
Logistics parks will be developed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) on design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT).
“Based on the results of detailed project reports or approved feasibility studies and documents, tenders will be invited from the company,” said Mortik official.
This logistics park will allow optimal and efficient vehicle movements in the country and thus lead to reducing pollution and vehicle congestion, and allows reducing warehousing costs.
As part of the 2030 plan, this center has promised to regulate multi-capital logistics hubs in Panaji since January 2019, but state government officials say that a logistics garden in Panaji will be counter productive.
Multi-capital logistics parks will require a broad container terminal along with the train link quickly moving cargo containerization.
The nearest train link to Panaji is Karmali train station.
