New Delhi: A few weeks ago, countries such as Israel, England and the US celebrated the return of normal life after struggling against Covid-19 pandemics for more than a year.
Supported by high vaccination rates and gradual decline in fresh infections, countries plan to eliminate strict covid limits and allow mass meetings, in the earliest signs of the “post-covid” era.
Then the Delta variant is more contagious, pampering efforts to return to pre-pandemic days.
‘Learning to live with Covid’a Surge recently in a case triggered by the Delta variant has forced Israel to whiten liberation to wear facial masks and practicing social distance in public.
Under PM Naftali Bennett called the “Soft Persecution” policy, the government wants Israel to learn to live with viruses – involving a little possible restrictions and avoiding the fourth national locking that can carry out damage to the economy further.
Like most Israelis in the risk group have now been vaccinated against Covid-19, Bennett relies on fewer people than before falling illness when infection rises.
“Applying a strategy will require a certain risk but in the overall consideration, including economic factors, this is the balance needed,” Bennett said last week.
The main indicator that guides steps is the number of severe Covid-19 cases in the hospital, currently around 45.
Implementation will require monitoring of infection, encourage vaccination, fast testing and information campaigns about facial masks.
Restored restrictions include the use of facial masks in the room and quarantine for everyone who arrived in Israel.
Bennett’s strategy has been questioned by several scientists.
The Ministry of Health Israel advocates more than encouragement of infections originating, Sharon Alroy-Preis, head of public health at the Israeli Ministry of Health, told radio right on Sunday.
“It might not have a big increase in severe pain but the price makes such a mistake that is what is worried about us,” he said.
But many other scientists support.
“I strongly support the Israeli approach,” said Melav Davidovitch, Director of the Public Health School at the University of Ben Gurion Israel, described it as a “golden line” between easing restrictions and British countries such as Australia who took a harder line.
